Police in Kampala are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified man in his mid-20s who allegedly fell from Joiner Arcade in Kabalagala on Monday night, with the body taken to Mulago City Mortuary for post-mortem and identification efforts ongoing.

An unidentified man believed to be in his mid-20s has died in a suspected suicide incident at Joiner Arcade in Kabalagala, Kampala, prompting police investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.

The incident occurred on June 29, 2026 at around 8pm at Joiner Arcade, located at Kabalagala Junction in Kabalagala Central, Makindye Division.

According to preliminary police findings, the deceased, estimated to be about 26 years old, allegedly fell from an unknown floor of the building at around 8:30 p.m., sustaining fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Rachel Kawala, confirmed the incident and said investigations are underway to establish the exact circumstances and identity of the deceased.

“Police at Kabalagala have registered a suspected suicide incident involving an unidentified male adult who is believed to have fallen from an unknown floor of Joiner Arcade. We are conducting inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to determine the identity of the deceased,” Kawala said.

She added that police are appealing to members of the public who may have information that could help identify the deceased to come forward.

“The body was conveyed to Mulago City Mortuary for a post-mortem examination, while efforts to identify the deceased continue. We urge anyone with relevant information to report to the nearest police station as investigations progress,” she said.

Police said inquiries are ongoing and no further details have been released.
